Too much drama and crying in midst of battle

"We are battle hardened officers with an urgent mission to complete!" *someone gets hit* "Oh no! Lets ignore what we are doing and engage in melodramatic dialogue"

I liked the first season a lot. The second takes off strong but the ending is weak plot wise and has far too much drama sauce interfering with the story and breaking up the tension.

Lucifer (2016–2021)

Season four is standard netflix drama - mediocre fit with the original

Although happy that Netflix picked up this show and decided to give it a try I find the turn of characters unbelievable. Hardass Chloe is suddenly sobbing at least once every episode. Love arcs out of nowhere. Detective Dan is being a one dimensional Lucifer hater. Perhaps this fits exactly with the Netflix crowd, but for me this was a disappointment. The only thing still being great is the snarky, egotastical Lucifer. Would have given it 6/10 but +1 for the fact that Netflix had the guts to give new life to this show.

Luther: Episode #1.6 (2010) Season 1, Episode 6

Obvious inconsistencies marrs an otherwise brilliant episode

This episode is the conclusion of two part episode. Brilliant drama, original and also very inconsistent. It feels like the writers spent a lot of time rewriting and refining or decided the last minute to make it a two part episode. One example: it takes the entire episode finding a character that is making and receiving phone calls left and right, while another character is found in minutes by tracking his phone. Another: there were numerous big opportunities to get the proof needed but these are all ingnored to have the direct confrontation the writers seemingly required. In an action movie these lapses in the story are somewhat acceptable, but when it is all about outwitting your opponent this stuff for me is a bit harder to ignore.
