Longmire (2012)
Didn't last long
My wife wanted to watch this series. She lasted the first season through episode 7 and had enough. It was okay by me since some of the episodes were downright stupid. The writers of this show made the police stupid in some of the episodes, the wife and I figured it out before it even happened.
Grey's Anatomy (2005)
Made it to the fourth season
Wife wanted to watch this show. Could get it on Netflix. First season, we both enjoyed it. Second season still pretty good. Through the third season, I was getting tired of it. Tired of drama queen George. Wife was disappointed that Izzy got over her love for Denny so fast. Tired of Meredith. After the first episode of the fourth season, we both gave up and quit watching it. We are amazed it has lasted eighteen seasons.
Portrait de la jeune fille en feu (2019)
30 minutes
Wife picked the movie off of Hulu to watch. I lasted 30 minutes and gave up. To slow and boring for me. My wife watched the whole movie. I asked her what she thought of it. She said, "Boring as hell, won't recommend it to anyone."
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011)
Interesting
Didn't read the book, but liked the movie. She kicked some ass, my kind of woman. The ending was stupid. No way I'd pick an old married woman, who is married to another guy over an attractive, nicely built, young biker/hacker babe who saves my life.
Under the Tuscan Sun (2003)
Okay chick flick
Wife picked it out to watch on Hulu. We liked it. I did even if it was a chick flick. My wife and her sister hiked around a little of Italy a few years back and plans to go again this fall if all works out, so she was pointing out things they had seen. She laughed at the guys all falling in "love" and chasing the main character. Her sister and her never had that problem. So, a little unrealistic movie. It is worth a look.
The Mountain Between Us (2017)
Unrealistic
Tail of airplane comes off, never hit anything. Mountain lion attacks dog, but doesn't kill or eat it but goes into airplane to attack woman? If hungry why not kill and eat the dog? But then maybe not hungry since mountain lion was killed and if plenty of the meat was taken with them could have cooked that. How did they get a fire going at each night stop? As time went on where did they get blankets, a face mask, extra clothes, scarfs, and a lot of other stuff. Why did they heat both rooms in the cabin they found? No critters in the cabin or sofa?
The Assistant (2019)
WTH?
Finished the movie and my wife and I looked at each other and she said, "what the heck?" Super slow and boring. Glad we borrowed this from the library and didn't pay to see it.
