American Murder: The Family Next Door (2020)
Wow! That was easy!
There is no explaining this guy. He is a self absorbed monster. It is bad enough for a dad to leave his young family but to freaking murder them, and over an affair? No, I do not think this could happen in any family, as some reviewers want you to believe. And the ending credits seem to imply that all men should be sternly scrutinized for simply being men. What's up with that?
While uniquely designed, of all the drawn out crime documentaries this one wins the derby for speed, matched only by the police work. Regarding the investigations, I can't believe how simple it seems that the police acquired a confession so quickly. Did the producers leave out a tonne of the police work? I mean, the detectives had the guy in interrogation it seemed only a few times before they nailed it. But he did really help them along with that ill-advised polygraph.
Speaking of advised, he did not even have a lawyer during interrogation. This is about the stupidest self absorbed monster I have seen. And he did do it. I saw a review that indicated there was a question. He freaking confessed on camera! And then told them exactly where the bodies were.
At first I thought he should get the chair, but then I realized that this SOB needs to stew on it for many many years. I hope he finds no peace while on permanent vaca in the hooskow. And the sister turning to the murderer at Comments and FORGIVING him? That is a misguided philosophy right there. What she should have done is turn to him and spit in his face. Clearly, forgiving does not put a person in jail or the chair! I think she agreed he needs strong discipline, to say the least. So where is that forgiveness?
Cleverman (2016)
So ...?
What happened to season one? Netflix only has season 2. Oh well. Skip.
Utopia (2013)
Maybe two on second thought.
Good God I hope there is no season 3! The saturated color, stupid characters, and ridiculous scenes, with all gunplay showing expert marksmanship headshots, at a distance, by complete gun novices, indicates lousy direction for a millennial audience in supposed need of more and more eye candy. Really. But I have to say, the subject matter is timely.
The Founder (2016)
I'm not sure ...
I'm not sure how this movie could have been better! Great parts for all. Very entertaining and informative.
Borat Subsequent Moviefilm: Delivery of Prodigious Bribe to American Regime for Make Benefit Once Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan (2020)
POS
All I have to say in in the title. Sorry if this is too short.
I'm Thinking of Ending Things (2020)
BRILLIANT! As the nonsense kind of brilliant crap.
Well, it looked a little unusual in the trailer, so I thought .... That's what I get for thinking! What a ridiculous heap of disjointed crap! If you can make it to the last 30 minutes you may need the Cheetos to satisfy your craving for satisfaction ... 'cause you ain't gettin' any from his piece of tripe! For instance, what was that ballet, and the pig, and the naked janitor ... the stabbing, and while we're at it, the cultural appropriation BS (throwing that in for the liberals), all about, anyway? Sorry--this jibe just doesn't line up. Even the producers must have been embarrassed: you know where the end credits, usually, proudly display who did what to make the movie? These were so tiny I'm thinking they were actually hiding their faces. Please don't waste your precious movie-watching time on this nonsense.
The Invisible Man (2020)
The only real ...
The only really abused human here is the viewer. Invisible in this story was the protagonist's slide into mental anguish she displayed too early. The lame attempt of a final twist was so diaphanous as to be completely see through, as well. What a waste of time.
The Fall (2013)
Goes a bit into the weeds ...
I found the series pretty well engrossing but, in the third season it seemed to become just a little, well, way too much, face time for Gillian.
Black Summer (2019)
Started out interesting ... but
I liked the approach for the first few episodes. The episode at the school started to get tedious. By episode 4, or was it 5, the db with the stupid hoodie denim jacked combo running running running from the zombie, making stupid decisions the whole time just got to be too much. Scanned forward and saw it went on like that the whole damn episode. This is not entertainment. G'bye Black Summer.
Luchshe, chem lyudi (2018)
Yet more poorly dubbed content--low rent dialog contractors
I guess our new normal in regard to entertainment is slipped-in foreign content that has poorly dubbed english language. Netflix is culling so much material from across the spectrum you cannot tell what crap is pushed past your remote transom until you grab a potential gem and waste five or ten minutes only to find it is a piece of coal. I really cannot get past the low rent dialog contractors Netflix uses to fluff up their content silo and am finding that complex really tedious, to say the least.
The Tall Man (2012)
This movie insults my sensibilities ...
What a mishmash of ... scenes? While viewing this compilation of, something, I kept wondering when it would come together into a cohesive story. That, I suppose, was the last couple of scenes that seem to be where the viewer was supposed to ... get it? I am really getting tired of the crap that comes across the transom. Get with it Hollywood and start making movies again.

K.G.F: Chapter 1 (2018)
Are you kidding me?
How can a film garner so many 10s? Really? I refuse to watch solely on the basis of such outlandish ratings. Give me a freaking break!
Anna (2019)
Hype
After all the hype I found myself caring not one whittle (nice word, huh..) about anyone in this flick. Helen Miren was especially a letdown since I actually knew of her, but since this seems to be a film produced from a culture trying to mimic US Hollywood action I guess I needed to lower my expectations, but, that realization only surfaced after seeing the resulting action scenes.
Dolor y gloria (2019)
The Acting
Judging by the trailer alone, everyone appears to be ... acting.
Jessica Jones (2015)
Season three: way way too much ...
Netflix, why so much gayness? I know there are gay people. Is Netflix creating the new normal?
Yesterday (2019)
Yesterday! A downright feel good movie ...
It was either see this or the new Tarantino movie ... I made the right choice! With such a great premise how could it not be a winner? I just hope by the time The Oscars comes around people will remember Yesterday! A downright feel good movie, so good you feel bad it's over. Great laughs and a special little twist you didn't see coming. If you don't walk out of the theater with a smile on your face and a bit of a lump in your throat, I'd say you can't be pleased. Another reviewer liked it but said it fell short--I don't get that at all. I know I will eagerly watch it again down the road.
Stranger Things (2016)
3rd Season Director Blues
First two seasons were pretty good. Third one comes along and everyone wants to be too cute by half. Unwatchable.

Good Omens (2019)
Too cute by half.
Could not make it through the first 10 minutes. The graphics seem geared toward the feeble imagination of watchers who need constant action, noise, and eye candy to maintain interest, and that's not me, or my wife. At the same time, the narration tells me such 'cute by half' details as what time in the morning the universe began. All this is so reminiscent of Hitchhiker's Guide, which was interesting way back then but seems old and worn now, it simply cancels out my good will expectations. BUT, I get that I am not the target audience if I remember THGG, and, those raving about Good Omens seem to be big fans of Neil Gaiman, who adapted the story.
