The Aeronauts (2019)
Faking history is not empowering women
As a film it is not bad, but not exceptional. Decent but kind of a cliché. It is worth noting that it is not as vulgar as most modern productions. Some shots also were truly beautiful. But was it really necessary to replace Dr. Henry Tracey Coxwell with that lady? What is the purpose? The so-called "empowerment" movement of women? As the movie said, "You don't change the world just by looking at it, you change it by the way you choose to live in it." - What can I understand? Do you change the world by stealing and falsifying history? Certainly not for good. Also, the movie is trying to make the scientists from the Fellowship of the Royal Society look like they were sexists and women had no place up into the air. Kind reminder that the first woman did her flight in 1784, just two years after the invention of the hot-air balloon. And the lady in the movie is based on a great french balloonist, Sophie Blanchard - and I would rather see a movie about her journeys over 60!) and one about Coxwell and Glaisher.
Endlings (2020)
The definition of bad
It's just bad. Bad acting. Bad CGI. Bad everything.
Beowulf: Return to the Shieldlands (2016)
Garbage. Literally.
Beowulf is an poem written in the Old English at cca. 1000 C.E. based on a story that was 100 to 300 years old at that time. And yet we have blacks and indians because, of course, Europe was full of them at that time. And also we have empowered women that are fighting with two swords in the same time, because Europe was full of them too. And, of course, we have empowered women of colour because we aren't politically correct enough until we aren't intersectionalists too.
The level of accuracy is low, this version of Beowulf being a wanna-be Game Of Thrones fantasy but is only full of cringe. (I mean, G.O.T. is overrated anyway, but at least it was a decent product...)
So: they have destroyed a beautiful story and turned it into a garbage flooded with historical inaccuracies, some failed unoriginal fantasy and with the so-called multiculturalism. (It is easier to throw in some random coloured people with the purpose of doing some virtue signalling instead of showing the cultural differences between those medieval tribes, innit?)
1/10 is too generous for this. The best thing about it is that it was cancelled.
