Tenet (2020)

Highly disappointing

Let's start with the one thing I liked about the movie there is no CGI, that I noticed, alright now let's move on. this entire movie is one info dump to another info dump, you get absolutely no time to process anything said in the film, what makes it even worse is, unlike Inception where they don't spend that much time actually explaining how Inception works and when they do it at least sounds like it makes a little sense, Tenet makes absolutely no sense it's just one nonsensical info dump after another. there's literally no story other than them trying to explain something that makes absolutely no sense. I don't understand why there is a Damsel in Distress plot stuck in for no reason she does nothing the entire movie and is only there for the main character to save her, literally pointless. this movie breaks one of my Cardinal rules of filmmaking which is don't make your main plot about a world-ending event all it does is tear all tension out of the film especially because this is an action film, am I seriously supposed to believe that they are going to end the world or kill the main character because I know for a fact they won't, that's just how action films work, compare to any other Christopher Nolan film they don't have any world-ending events in them because they take the tension out of the film. and don't get me wrong I'm a Christopher Nolan fan but I think that's why I'm so disappointed in this film because I know he can make good movies but he decided for whatever reason to go with a movie about cool set pieces instead of a movie that tells a good story and makes sense. and for those reasons, I would not recommend this to anyone. I would consider this the worst Christopher Nolan film yet.... I'm not mad I'm just.... disappointed.

28 Days (2000)

underrated movie

Every performance in this movie was good but especially Sandra Bullock. I think the movie would have been better if it was darker maybe show more people fall back into addiction a couple of times. but a good movie nonetheless would highly recommend

This movie can be a little melodramatic and it is a lot of fantastical. it has the usual third Arc nonsense one of the characters gets mad at the other for no reason, it is a pretty poorly written chick flick on par with other 90s chick flicks such as Sleepless in Seattle and a walk to remember, keep in mind I like chick flicks just not this chick flick. there were some weird choices with cinematography but not really that bad. the soundtrack is out of date I did not like or know any of the songs this doesn't really matter though. I find it really dumb that almost all the Danish people in this movie when speaking to other Danish people speak English why would they not speak in their natural tongue to each other doesn't make sense. so for these reason's I would not recommend to anyone, one last thing, A bas la monarchie, vive la révolution, hacher hacher

Nights in Rodanthe (2008)

below-average, it tries too hard to pull at Your Heartstrings

Nothing to say about the cinematography the acting was overall good except for James Franco none of his scenes felt natural they were very forced, the movie tries too hard to pull at Your Heartstrings, the kissing scenes are a little excessive, in conclusion, it's slightly below-average, watch if there's nothing else better to watch

The movie is unpredictable and doesn't give into tropes, the cinematography was good nothing really to say about the acting, I love the stylization in this movie, I'm surprised this movie isn't labeled a romance movie because it pretty much is, I would recommend

I'm more of a dark humor man myself but this movie is pretty funny, I love how they don't care at all they fit 20 different plots in one movie it goes from one iconic scene to another if I were to try and recommend this to anyone I would say if you like movies that make fun of tropes this might be your movie

Sex Drive (2008)

I thought it was a pretty good coming of age story, funny in my opinion, nothing good or bad to say about the acting and cinematography, the ending was uninspired and void of meaning but the movie was entertaining

The cinematography was great, both Shailene Woodley and Sam Claflin performances we're great, the one gripe I have is I wish Shailene Woodley and Sam Claflin characters had a lot more bonding scene, I would highly recommend

Angel Eyes (2001)

The cinematography can be poor at times, one in particular that I noticed the opening scene could have been more stylized they show the person in the car looking at Jennifer Lopez with the camera right side up even though seconds later the camera pulls out showing that the person would be looking upside down I feel showing the camera upside down would have been a better way of showing the scene, most of the music in this movie doesn't fit the scenes, I understand that women like the dark and mysterious guy but I find it hard to believe that a cop would be so willfully ignorant about a guy she just met, overall the movie is well-acted and underrated I would recommend

Sleepless in Seattle (1993)

If this movie was based in realism she should be perceived as a stalker, makes for good romance but kind of unbelievable, good acting all around, I like the older music soundtrack, just a little too Fantastical for me, but kind of enjoyable

I thought the acting was well done the entire movie except for Massimo which I thought was a little racy but other than that good, I like the ending a lot, other than it being a little Hollywood, not much to say it's a good uplifting movie

Oh look Vespers story makes sense her boyfriend's died... one line later, he's alive?!? so now Vesper is an idiot for falling in love with a bad guy, great storytelling guys, we may have made Vesper look like a moron but who cares, in truth this was dumb, and for them to just put a 30-second scene at the end of the movie for this, just bad all around, moving on a lot more of the action in this movie has tension and feels like it's doing something for the plot compared to Casino Royale, two different knit picks when they fell out of the plane into that sinkhole and pulled the shoot at the last second there's no way they wouldn't have died and at the beginning of the movie in the torture scene with Mr. White I don't know why he would Telegraph his agents move like that just there for dramatic effect I guess, if you like action movies you'll probably like it But Myself, I'm not a fan of action movies that don't have a really good plot behind them

Possession (2002)

A badly written movie about writers

Gwyneth Paltrows acting was pretty poor in this movie, and just to say I'm an American, I don't understand why a movie about British writers decided to cast an American actress for the main British character seems weird not just to put a British actress, Toby Stephens and Trevor Eve characters should not be in the movie they're just weird bad guy characters in a movie about romance, the reason I called it badly written is that a lot of the lines in this movie don't feel natural, not showing the main characters having scenes where they get to know each other makes it a very generic Romance movie in my opinion, and two different nitpicky things that I noticed, I don't know what the laws are in Britain but stealing mail in the US is very illegal, and that metal box that was supposedly in the ground for a hundred years was completely intact I think the contents inside would be a lot more rotten, only having Tom Hollander in 3 minutes of this movie is such a waste of his talents, so that's a not good form me

Before I Fall (2017)

I thought Zoey Deutch performance was really good but looks too old to be playing a high schooler, I think the kind of bullying that happens in this movie is more 90s, nowadays it's more cyberbullying just thought that was kind of unrealistic, didn't know any of the songs but I thought the soundtrack was pretty good, I find it unbelievable that Zoey Deutch character doesn't understand what's happening in most of the movie, the ending is bad and only happens for emotional effect and for this reason I don't know if I could suggest this movie to anyone it was a good movie until the ending, also I found it really funny the line about Crocs was basically me when I was a kid

Casino Royale (2006)

Bad poker but Above-average movie

First James Bond film I've ever watched, first thing I noticed I think all these movies are going to be about women cars and action which isn't really my style I would rather have a good story, which the story in my opinion was okay, the poker in this movie is horrible I understand there are rich people that will waste their money on playing poker but does James Bond seriously think that everyone has a tell any good poker player doesn't have a tell and if it appears that they do they are probably Faking It, there's so much more wrong with the poker but I'll stop here, I don't understand why Vesper Lynd killed herself she could have just faked her death she literally gives up the bad guy anyway so what's the point of dying if anything they're just going to kill her boyfriend now, if they don't know that she gave them up that's just bad writing, I have a bad feeling that all these movies are just going to end with him getting the girl and right at the last second hamstring something in to make them not be together, overall it's enjoyable just a little Mindless

My Best Friend's Wedding (1997)

I don't know if I'd actually suggest this movie to anyone, It's not overly fantastical, just a feel-good movie with a below average soundtrack, not much to say about it, watch it if you don't have a better romance movie to watch

It's a very very slow arthouse film, a 2-hour movie that feels like 4. very wordy and mentally draining. none of these things are necessarily a bad thing, I found the movie to be very intriguing. but if you don't like any of those things in other movies you probably won't like it here. it's a very thought-provoking film and I would recommend

The Lost Husband (2020)

Josh Duhamel really doesn't feel Southern at all, a lot of scenes get overdramatic and the music in some of those scenes get a little to much hallmark, the teacher scenes were unrealistic and pointless, the dead husband plot was literally pointless, the scenes with Leslie Bibb and Herizen Guardiola were dumb, and for people that are supposably doing hard labor they look awfully clean and for some reason wearing makeup just found that kind of weird, overall there's a lot of other better movies you could watch, too much drones on and leads Nowhere in this movie 4/10

I don't know if it's bad acting or horrible writing, all the conversation feels forced, the drama seems to happen for drama's sake, it doesn't feel real at all, I thought I was watching a shyamalan movie when I saw the ending, this is the only movie I'v ever felt obligated to write a review for, absolutely awful, one of the worst movies I've ever seen, I like romance movies believe me but it doesn't even do that well, just awful
