The Fix (2019)
Annoying as hell and addictive like crazy
The acting is as annoying as hell. The main actor (women lawyer) just is the most annoying actress. The way she has that smug look on her face and swings between insecure to overly confident. The accused is doubly annoying. Not an intelligent crime drama, and its way too predictable. But its addictive like crazy. I just want to find out who did it. So find that i fast forward it to get it over and done with.
Proven Innocent (2019)
Total let down
The first episode was really good and i was excited to follow the rest of the story, but unfortunately I was badly disappointed. It's the same story, the same dramas, same story over and over again in every single episode that I've surprised that the series was even made it to the screens. The acting is good, but its the same emotions. Also the red haired lawyer with a bee in her bonnet trying to tear down an old dinosaur of a lawyer who locked her up for murder. Then of course the black lawyer who tries to reign her in when she goes rouge. It's too predictable. To repeatable. And just forgettable.
In the Dark (2019)
Someone show them the light!
I seriously dont understand why this series has received top scores. It's one of the worst series Ive seen. I rolled my eyes so many times while watching episode 1 and 2 that i decided not to suffer through one more. It's such a cliche that I was wondering wether the creators were blind themselves. The main character desperately needs help acting. Looks like they found a beautiful model to play the blind girl, but with no acting skills. It's just sad. Want to watch anything try The Red Line.
The Replacement (2017)
Slow moving but good
This is a slow moving crime drama, worth the watch. It has an Hitchcock feel to it.
Liar (2017)
Excellent story and acting
An excellent piece of crime drama - excellent acting.
Save Me (2018)
Top notch crime drama from the UK
I must admit I love crime dramas. Courtroom and police dramas are my thing so I can be pretty selective in what I watch. I've recently been disappointed by some of the series coming out from the UK (Trauma, Next of Kin and Collateral). They were too predictable and didn't leave me curious. Save Me on the other hand was incredible. The actors Lennie James, Stephen Graham, Alice May Feetham and Suranne Jones did an excellent job .
I'm not going to give anything away, but if you are looking for a top notch crime drama with real characters which have you hanging on the edge of your sit then this is the one to watch.
Instinct (2018)
Extremely disappointing
I was looking forward to watching this new tv series after I saw Alan Cumming in The Good Wife. He was excellent as Eli Gold and therefore I was expecting the same level of acting. Unfortunately thats not what you get in Instinct. They have failed miserably in creating an interesting and authentic crime drama. It's full of cliches, and the actors don't t have any chemistry. Alan Cumming seems to be wandering around in the shadow of Eli Gold and the hazy effects are just over the top.
It's definitely one to watch if you have a burning fever and down with the flu otherwise i wouldnt waste my time on this one.
