Dance Academy (2010)
Would have given it a 10 but really didn't like the actress who played Tara.
Another reviewer said she liked this even though she was 27. Well I am 72 and I loved this series and the follow up movie. I am so tired of the oversexualization of teenager in films but this series doesn't do that.
Great balance between the actual dancing episodes and storyline.
Tara was the only fail in an otherwise brilliant cast.
Taggart: The Thirteenth Step (2007)
I just can't tolerate Burke
Have not liked Burke since he came on the scene but this episode really found me talking back at the tv. He yells for the sake of yelling and maybe he is just a bad actor but shouting is not always the most effective way to portray anger. If anything this episode showed the "wee boy" that grew up in a dysfunctional family has never really moved on. How long until his character is replaced. I want to enjoy this program again.
Silent Witness: Fear: Part 1 (2012)
So confusing
This episode was utterly confusing. It was all over the place and I really didn't enjoy it at all.
Bed of Roses (2008)
Dumb, Dumb, Dumb
The writers have gone overboard trying to make this woman appear DUMB. Nobody would try to vacuum up streamers. Nobody is that stupid. Surprised it got a second and third season but then again Offspring has 7 seasons and the main character in that series is very similar. Must be what Australians like to watch.
Rebus (2000)
The British excel at crime shows
I recently saw a list of the top 10 crime series in the US and I have to say that none of them were anywhere near as good as British crime shows. I love the ability to tell a story without all the vulgarity and sex that seem to be the mainstay of the US shows which by the way are just getting worse and unwatchable. My only problem with Rebus is that he is portrayed s a disheveled individual who enjoys his beverages a little too much and yet women jump into bed with him. While he might have charm his personal hygiene is certainly lacking and deems him undesirable.
