Lucifer: Quintessential Deckerstar (2018)
The "Saviour" of a Season.
On my review for the series, I stated how Season 3 should be consider a shameful one. With that mindset I entered episode 23 and I assume all viewers around the globe did too. But, finally and thankfully, our expectations were wrong. 'Quintessential Deckerstar' was the first aid this season needed. A true masterpiece, for my perspective, as to what drama brings when celestial beings and humans are mixed. This episode was a deliver. Tom Elis being an amazing actor and once again an award-like performance, but this time the rest of the casting was also exceptional. The only let down for me was that I trully desire more celestial scenes, more superpowers, more effects. Come on, it's 2018!
Hope for greater episodes to come. Well done.
Game of Thrones (2011)
Nothing more to add, that hasn't been already!
A masterpiece. Truthfully, the greatest thing the film industry has ever produced. Same place in my heart as Lord Of The Rings series.
10/10
Lucifer (2016)
Dear Tom Kapinos
If I were to judge solely the third season so far, I would honestly reduce the stars to 3!
But, in order to be fair, I'll provide a 6 out of 10 stars, because of the follwing reasons.
Season 1: Interesting and cheesy.
Being cheesy is not necessarily bad. If I were to imagine a misunderstood devil that is utterly playful and naughty, he would definetely have that characteristic. Moreover, It is always a nice warm up on a supernatural series, to have a little bit of magic at the first season. Gives good chills and keeps the curiousity up as to what can this devil do! Actors are great and story seems to build up slowly as you wouldn't expect the devil to be revealed at the first season. Love it!
Season 2: The good ol' Lucifer.
Again cheesiness and again the usual detective work. Which of course, why not! As the story unfolds you can watch some supernatural events happen, but almost nothing out of ordinary. So, by the end of the season the viewer is left with one big question (and hope), are there gonna be some "big magics" in the last episode? The answer is yes, but yet again Lucifer has done nothing special and his identity has still been safe. My hopes were that the writer was stalling for an amazing third season.
Season 3: This series again.
I couldn't wait more, so I could finally get to see Lucifer doing crazy super powers stuff and his identity to be revealed, because the detective side is already boring. Guess, I'm still waiting. Lucifer is not devil, but more human than ever before! With some angelic moments to avoid complete destruction of his character. Old rating=3
UPDATE SEASON 3: Episode 23 was a blast. This episode was the first aid this season needed. You know what they say, once you hit the bottom, you can only rise! Let's hope it continues like this. New rating=5
In conclusion, great actors and great potential. Only this. No delivering and no more interest as of Season 3!
Given all the above information, rating goes like:
S1 = 10, S2 = 7, S3 = 5 -> Avarage: 7.33
P.S.: Tom Ellis being my favorite by far! Wish for greater roles for this talented sir.
