The Rockford Files: The Return of the Black Shadow (1979)
Where's the Vincent Black Shadow?
The Rockford Files was a great '70s show and unfortunately, like most '70s shows they didn't care about motorcycles.
I get that "Black Shadow" is a metaphor but it would have taken very little effort, especially in Los Angeles, to borrow a Vincent Black for a couple of shots. Plenty of owners that would be slobbering over the opportunity to have their bike on national TV.
For those who don't know the Vincent Black Shadow was the world's fastest production motorcycle for decades and long after they had ceased to be manufactured.
I need to go over to the Hogan Heroes page and trash them for using Harley's in place of BMWs...
The Ice Road (2021)
By-the-Book action movie
Zero surprises here. Though guy Liam Neeson (Schindler's List) and Lawrence Fishburn (Pee Wee's Playhouse) take a predictable ride through a world of easy-to-understand danger and artificial pathos. There's a hot girl who's as tough as she is beautiful, a heroic, intellectually impaired sidekick, an evil corporation, and a villain who won't stay dead.
Judging by the fact that the title is easy to translate into multiple languages, this seems aimed primarily at the foreign market. Neeson and Fishburn were likely well paid and hopefully both will now find better projects to lend their names to. The big winner here was Kenworth, since the whole movie was one long commercial for the trucks they manufacture.
My favorite part was when one of the characters is lost under the ice and the shadow of a mic boom is visible in the shot.
Nazi Mega Weapons (2013)
This is Hitler?
Good show but the worst casing if a Hitler ever. The guy they picked looks more like Don Knotts.
