Arcane: League of Legends (2021)
Recommend this masterpiece! To everyone!
What a treat, what a top class, what a diamand in the swamp of Neflix!
The animation is excellent, the characters act comprehensibly, the dialogue is intelligently written, the story complex and interesting. I can't find anything to fault here!
It's a shame that many mediocre to disastrous productions generate more attention.
Perhaps too many people still have childish reservations about animated productions. Otherwise I can't explain why this series is not even more successful than it already is.
I will continue to urge everyone to give this series a chance. I expect everyone reading this review to do the same!
Arcane: League of Legends: When These Walls Come Tumbling Down (2021)
Magnificent
Another excellent episode! The animation remains excellent, the characters act comprehensibly, the dialogue is intelligently written, the story complex and interesting. I can't find anything to fault here.
It's a shame that many mediocre to disastrous productions generate more attention. Arcane is on a completely different level than most TV-Series, especially compared to animated TV-Series like most Animes.
Perhaps too many people in the western world still have childish reservations about animated productions. Otherwise I can't explain why this series is not perceived even more successful than it already is.
I will continue to urge everyone to give this series a chance. I expect everyone reading this review to do the same!
Arcane: League of Legends: Welcome to the Playground (2021)
Best Pilot I ever saw
... in an animated series! We don't need to talk about the animation - 40 minutes of pure art!
I have already taken the characters to my heart, even though I have never played the games. Not much has happened yet in terms of content, but the episode already had some very intense scenes. The music is also fantastic! A must see!
Maid: Bear Hunt (2021)
Genuine and emotional. Grandiose.
What fascinates me about this series is its realism. No character is overdrawn, but quite the opposite - real and authentic. However, you don't watch a rational treatise on the subject, but experience it intensively. Several times I was close to tears. Netflix likes to undercut my expectations, but with this series they have - as of now - succeeded in creating a work of art. Wonderful!
Maid: Dollar Store (2021)
So incredibly GOOD
I don't know what the guy watched that only gave this episode one star. The series is off to a great start! Realistic plot, well written dialogue, appropriate musical score, super camera work. The actors all do a great job - Margaret Qualley in particular is outstanding! For me she is already a candidate for the Emmy!
Definitely watch it!
Fumetsu no Anata e: Those Who Follow (2021)
Religiousness destroys Emotionality.
Why should I be sad when the deceased live on in another "dimension" afterwards? It would be much better if the scenes that show an afterlife didn't exist at all.
The emotional potential of this series is ruined by these religious moements. What a shame.
Love, Death & Robots: Ice (2021)
Good visual realisation.
However, no message and a very superficial plot. Nothing surprising. In the end, rather boring.
Love, Death & Robots: The Tall Grass (2021)
Not exceptional.
No deep message, no brilliant animation, no original plot. A rather simple-minded episode. You don't have to watch it.
Love, Death & Robots: All Through the House (2021)
Funny idea
I find the basic idea quite interesting, but the story itself otherwise rather flat. The animation was not quite as fluid as it could have been. You can watch it, but you won't miss much if you don't.
Love, Death & Robots: Automated Customer Service (2021)
Quite fun, but nothing unique.
My first episode. It was quite alright, some funny scenes. The animation was solid, but the story lacked originality and complexity.
The Queen's Gambit: Openings (2020)
Finally, QUALITY again!
After all the garbage Netflix has produced over the last few months, I was already pessimistic. But I was wrong this time, so wrong! What I have seen here is terrific! Wonderful actors, great music, great camera work, a suitable set and an emotional and well written story.
I need more series of this kind! Thanks, Netflix.
Super Monsters (2017)
Not worth seeing!
Really? Every five minutes, all "monsters" are introduced over and over again. Even my little daughter finds it annoying!
Besides, the whole series is much too "soft" - everybody is always nice and accommodating. This is simply unrealistic. The children get a wrong picture of the real and sometimes hurtful world.
I hardly see creativity in writing either. The consequences don't offer any added value - except that maybe they reduce the fear of monsters in a questionable way.
The animation is okay, which is why I don't just give a star.
But all in all, I don't think this series is worth seeing for children (or anyone else).
Jeffrey Epstein: Filthy Rich (2020)
Could have been better
Way too one-sided. No mention is made of (possible) perspectives of Epstein. Nobody is ONLY a criminal, ONLY a monster. Surely Epstein had his good sides, too. It is also questionable whether many girls have exaggerated a bit about "rape". Because I never heard in the documentary that the girls had fight back, everything seemed to have been amicable.
Of course this doesn't excuse anything, but it does lessen Epstein's crimes - 'cause "rape" is something different to me ...
Outlander: Sassenach (2014)
Great Pilot!
A fantastic and high quality pilot episode that makes you want more! The cinematography is fantastic, the characters already seem multi-layered and interesting and the monologue and dialogues are very well written!
Avatar: The Last Airbender: The Headband (2007)
Great Episode!
This episode radiates pure joy of life and lightness! Wonderful!
Yakusoku no Neverland: 150146 (2019)
Splendid ending!
I'm actually not a big anime fan, but what I've seen here is sensational! Besides the excellent story and the multi-layered and intelligent characters, I would like to emphasize the music - breathtaking! Especially great how they connected it with the story in the end! I am really amazed by this grandiosity! Wow!

The Witcher (2019)
Worst Fantasy-Series I've ever seen
I was so hyped watching this series. I really hoped it would be - at least partly - as good as Game of Thrones - but I'm disappointed, very disappointed.
Confusing story, mostly bad actors, stupid writing, boring story-telling, awkward CGi, average music ...
I could write a lot more, but this series is not worth it. Its pure trash - and "trash" is still a friendly euphemism in my opinion.
La casa de papel: Lección de anatomía (2020)
Nothing but crap happens!
1)Berlin stabs the fat sack with a fork almost for no reason. Really?!
2) Palermo doesn't make sense, not at all
I could be more precisely, but this episode is not worth that amount of my time...
The Witcher: Rare Species (2019)
Stupid actions, bad CGI
Yeah, let's all walk across these planks together, great idea! What could possibly go wrong?
La casa de papel: Game over (2020)
Tokio in charge?
1) Why are they putting Tokio in charge? She's far too emotional and unobjective! Stupid decisions of some characters!
2) Why did they (or especially Denver) trust Arturo to take his blood? It was obvious he was (could be) faking it...
Badly written scenes in this episode...
