Ali Ya Ali (2017)
Moving story about an autistic boy and his mother courage !
When I watched ALI on TV, I was deeply moved even though I have no connection at all to this issue. . Everybody thought that the young actor was autistic, but indeed it's not the case ! Well-directed actors and a brilliant direction. I recommand it !
Jnah l'hwa (2011)
How to get around the taboos !
I love this drama-romance movie by great Moroccan director Abdelhai Laraki, that explore here (after Nedali's novel) the wild imagination of a frustrated young butcher full of desire and appetit for life ! The sexual freedom is a big issue in our muslim and patriarchal society. People have to be very inventive to get around the taboos ! Delightful soundtrack by Richard Horowitz, poetic and glamourous love scenes. Enjoy!
