Hinterland (2013–2016)

Spoiled by poor techniques and procedures.

I completely agree with the reviewer that criticised the portrayal of police procedures.

Everything appears to be in hindsight, forensic procedures after the event, no backup, injured man on the floor and the DI doesn't call for ambulance or backup.

The actions taken by Matthias are completely against all procedures and without reason.

In terms of suspense, well apart from entering houses with no power!?

The scenery around Aberystwyth is stunning,I was there the other week and provides an excellent backdrop.

It should have been an excellent series, maybe removing the staring into space periods and unnecessary pauses in conversation would have helped.

Completely agree with previous reviews. Anyone remotely connected to the recovery world will be cringing at the banal commentary. It must also cause some embarrassment to the operatives portrayed in the series.

Quite interesting for bankers!

If you are going to be taken seriously when writing a review you really need to watch all of it, not give up before it is finished and give it a very low score. Doing that just means you personally didn't like it. Whilst this may not be the greatest it moves along briskly, it isn't bogged down with meaningless soul searching. The acting is convincing and the production values are pretty good.

I note one reviewer criticised those that gave this film a low rating. Well, here is another, it's almost a religious propaganda film. It is far too lovey-dovey and over sentimental coupled to a religious theme. Not everyone is religious or needs to rely on the community for a psychological crutch. No comment on the standard of acting and the story line is run of the mill routine
