Primal (2019)
Darn near Perfect
A perfect showcase of what the medium of animation is capable of. I only recently started watching and I can't wait to finish it. Primal shows what happens when a clear vision is realized by smart and creative people. It is clearthat Gennedy Tartakovsky and his team know what they're doing and I hope anyone, be they a fan of animation or not, will sit down and give this one a watch.
Iron Man (2008)
Not a bad start.
Good solo film that also started a money machine. However current films don't take away anything from something that came before. And iron man is definitely still one of the better films in the mcu.
Wonder Woman (2017)
Pretty good. Not terrible. Provo lay won't watch it ever again.
Unfortunately these films that take place in a cinematic universe need to be viewed through that lens. This film had it not been a part of the dceu wold have been received... fine. Actually I think it would have been seen as better if not for its ties to the dceu. And that is it's biggest problem. It's another film that's sole purpose is to set up another film. Perhaps if it had the chance to be its own movie without being part of another universe then maybe it would have been better.
It's not terrible. I've seen worse. I've seen worse from this franchise. I suppose it's easy to look at man of steel or BvS and think "wow! This is Oscar worthy" and perhaps I am doing that but I really did enjoy this film. At the worst of times it was boring but even then I have to applaud the movie for not going the whole "fish out of water" thing that would have been so easy to do. Main actres who's name I forget how to spell so I won't even attempt. Is fine. It's shaky at the worst of times but she looks the part so she gets some brownie points. I think the ending was a little rough. I liked at first that it was insinuating that there was no ares and that man had created this war on its own. It would have had Wonder Woman questioning here own beliefs and had her faith in the world of man tested. Should she continue to help these people who started this war?
But instead we get a cop out because there can't be any shades of grey. And the whole thing with the plane felt very captain America. Not to say that captain America did the hero sacrifices themselves trope first but I just couldn't not think about that.
Some of if not most of the secondary characters are forgettable. But in all honesty most of this I overlooked. The plot was interesting most of the time and kept my attention. I wasn't looking at my phone or thinking of anything else the whole time so clearly it's not awful. And I'm sorry, you can say whatever you want about this film but that scene in no mans land was legendary. Actually awesome. Now one scene can't redeem a whole film but I feel the need to give any film credit where it's due. And really this is probably the best dceu film... well... I mean Shazam but.. eh. I don't want to come off as some marvel fanboy but it's hard not to compare. I'd say this is worth a watch. But aside from looking up a couple of scenes on YouTube I don't see myself sitting down for this one again.
The Haunted Mansion (2003)
Must play for anyone into a fun and creepy experience
This game is amazing. Sure it suffers a bit in the control part of it. Burn it makes up with amazing atmosphere, characters you actually care about and want to see have a happy ending, and some of the most amazing and ingenious puzzles ever put to code, only beaten in my opinion by portal 2. This is amazing, switching from horror survival to puzzles smoothly and even meshing them together in levels like the winters garden, the observatory and the ever infamous.... children's room. So Enough review. If you haven't played this game yet and you haven't had it spoiled, than you have a chance to play one of in my opinion one of the best games ever. So go buy it or something f just play it... and for the love of go# someone make an HD remake for this PLEASE!!!
Bendy and the Ink Machine (2017)
A must play cult favorite
Welcome back to Sillyvision henry, we've been expecting you. Batim ( bendy and the ink machine ) is a first person ... well horror technically, but I honestly think it's more of an intense survivor like little nightmares or Bioshock. It's more atmospheric horror than anything. Not that there isn't some very intense moments, including jump scares chase scenes and some truly creepy looking enemy's ranging from the demon himself and his armada of searchers. To the cunning Alice and her freakish experiments. So story, you play as henry no last name given. Who is a retired animator who after receiving a telegram from his former boss Joey drew, has decided to return to the decrepit studio. Upon entering you almost instantly find the ink machine. Hey not often were introduced to our plot device in the first act. But it's not that simple. Soon inky demons escape and begin to wreck havoc. So brandish your axe and descend into the hellish studio. And remember... BEWARE THE INK DEMON
