Life in a Metro (2007)
Lovely use of cinema
Life In A Metro, and touching almost every aspect.
Masaan (2015)
The strange causes of death and the life after.
Powerful film with master writing. Two simple stories running with the same pace on either banks of ganga river and shows the social stigmas present in both upper castes and lower castes. All the actors did justice to their characters. Unique music very different from the movies of mainstream.
One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (1975)
Who'll be the one finally flying over the nest?
The whole movie kept low just to keep the climax high. Takes time to hold on to the characters. Strong acting by each character.
Inception (2010)
Movie for the future.
Unthinkable story with a powerful representation through the movie. How far can the dreams take us and also incepting the thoughts in other people. Movie leaves us all with a question mark on what actualy the reality is.
Stand by Me (1986)
You'll never make friends like you made in childhood.
A very gripping story showing a short period from the lives of four young boys who're just there living and unfolding life. The direction and the song makes the story submerged in emotions. Lot to learn about friendship and compassion from the film.
Shikara (2020)
The last green leaf on a dying tree.
The movie stresses more upon the love than hatred. How warm love can be kept alive under a cold blanket. Whatever been the past of the society, the movie emphasises on how the future can be kept alive. A little tinge on how the world is changing going into the wrong direction and how the people are adapting to it.
Whiplash (2014)
A Master-piece
A classic movie which can be watched time and again. Feet never stop tapping through the movie. Truly inspirational. Hard-word, practice and success and the way teacher mend his student. Clever goosebumping end.
Jojo Rabbit (2019)
A treat to our optics.
A well written reply to racism and war. Movie with beautiful cinematography and brilliant acting with a tinge of humour in each character.
La vita è bella (1997)
A must-watch
Beautifuly filmed story of a happy man who wants to stay happy despite all the unhappy turn of events in his life. Gripping movie full of emotions. The director understands the balance between wit and tragedy.
