Khufiya (2023)
Second half tanks
First half builds good suspense and momentum, but second half is directionless. Acting from Tabu makes it worth watch one time. Ali Faisal looks lost in acting. Supporting caste is good too. The second half also loses focus and logic, so you question a lot of why?
Screenplay could have been better for this spy thriller, so it is lost opportunity for a good plot and movie. Watch this if you don't have anything better to watch. I ended up feeling RAW is shown as a failure in the end while movie was targeting to show it other way round.
Actors have done their job, failure is on screenplay and director's part.
Dahaad (2023)
OK overall with some faults
You know the villain from episode one, so there is no suspense around that. Despite that, it's cat and mouse chase thriller keeps you hooked. There are some obvious faults in story and direction, like excessive imp given to Sonakshi's character despite she shown as jr officer. The notable effort is from Vijay Verma in negative role, convinces you of serial killer attitude. The caste angle was also unnecessary and drags story offtrack from its plot. Sonakshi has done overacting in many scenes. Also, the plot shown is of Rajasthan but its not convincing enough without much local language use.
Okay for binge watch one time, won't feel bored.
A Thursday (2022)
Good topic but story lacks pace
A good topic and could have been a masterpiece, but the story lacks required pace, especially in the second half. Acting from everyone is good and is worth a watch once.
Jhimma (2021)
Good light story
Storyline is good and keeps you entertained throughout. Unnecessary songs are not inserted and story is very relatable. A good light weekend watch. Acting is good by all actors and they gave justice to their roles.
Pawankhind (2022)
Engaging tale of bravely!
It is always hard to tell a story which is probably known to most audiences as they learnt it in school and this is one of those stories. Director tells it very well and keeps you engaged. First half could have been a little smaller/shorter, but otherwise done nicely. Music and background score does justice for the story. Cinematography shines in the second half for war scenes. You should watch it and if you are India, show it to your kids too to understand sacrifices our ancestors made to get hindustan!
Pushpa: The Rise - Part 1 (2021)
Only hyped boring otherwise
It is shame to see that even south directors are obsessed with 90s dakait villains/heroes now. It is simply BORING story that I fast forwarded on most occasions. It is unnecessary hype that movie got its publicity from, so beware! Boring boring boring!
Rocket Boys (2022)
Binge watch worthy
Every Indian should watch this. It is binge worthy. Cinematography is good, direction is good, acting is superb, esp jim sarbh has made homi bhabha's character alive! Flow of the story is good too so kudos to writers and screen writing!
I hardly give 10 stars but this one deserves it. You can watch it with ur family. You won't regret watching this even if you are non Indian.
The Silent Sea (2021)
Good cocktail of suspense and space story
If you like suspense and thriller movies, and then you also like space related stories, then this one is definitely for you. It keeps you engaged from the start to end. Story is good and plot is convincible even though happens in the future.
Acting and cinematography is great. Some side actors have done overacting but you can ignore those as they don't necessarily drive the plot. Overall, a good weekend binge watch.
Bob Biswas (2021)
Abhishek at his best
Unlike traditional heroes where you are sold hero with chiseled body and mediocre acting, Abhishek comes here as a perfect package. I liked Abhishek in Guru and Yuva and I feel those were his career best. Bob Bissau I think can go in that category. His acting is engaging and natural.
As for a movie, it is overall good entertainer. Ending could have been a little better, and there was a scope to add more twists and suspense. But anyway, it's a good weekend watch and you won't regret time on it.
Dhamaka (2021)
Captivating
It's adaptation of a korean film and is known, but conversion is good. Story keeps you engaged and shot to keep fast paced. Ending was good, something unusual. It's a good weekend watch, you won't regret it if you like suspense movies of any sort.

Get hooked for the ride from episode 1
Looking at name, I wasn't much into it. Trailer was also ok'ish. I just casualy played the first episode and then boom, was hooked. Binge watched later episodes.
It has multiple 'oh fxxx' moments. Caste is nice and everybody has given their best in acting department. Cinematography is good too. Ending was unusual and came as a surprise, with a twist. Definitely going to watch season 2, whenever that comes out. I think Netflix will bring multiple seasons of this looking at response it is getting. This hatke drama was good for a change.
Elizabeth Ekadashi (2014)
Simple film with very good message
Story has a very good marriage between science and philosophy. Every action has an equal reaction! You do good and good happens to you. Very simple lite story with mast performances! I have watched this film twice over time and still enjoyable. Music is good too!! Must watch!
