Better Call Saul: Saul Gone (2022)
Literally the perfect ending
After 7 years of watching Jimmy transition to Saul and then to Gene, it's absolutely magnificent to watch him regress back to Jimmy and do the right thing at the end.
The last 10 minutes or so are the absolute definition of bitter sweet, with Jimmy being imprisoned for life, but surrounded by the sort of people.he devoted most of his career to defending when nobody else would, all of which clearly hold I'm with in the highest respect.
I cannot conceive of a way to end this show that would've been more perfect.
Truly was Saul Goodman.
The I-Land (2019)
Not even slightly close to ok
Possibly the worst thing I've ever seen but OMFG I've never laughed so much at a dramatic piece of media in my life. This show is absolutely hilarious, the acting is awful, the direction is non-existant, the plot is nonsensical. But still recommended for the laughs
Stranger Than Fiction (2006)
Great acting and ideas let down by safe conclusion
Will Ferrel is excellent as the protagonist of the story, with solid performances all round. The film works perfectly right until the end, when ironically, like the book of which Ferrel is a part of, the story takes the safe option to give a "happy" ending. For me this ruins all previous character building and plot arcs leading to the pivotal moment as Ferrel accepts what must happen, only for a pocket-watch-ex-machina to ruin the great and highly emotional build up.
Whiplash (2014)
Stop wasting time reading reviews

Hardcore Henry (2015)
Nothing wrong with it
I downloaded this to watch on a car journey on holiday, with fairly low expectations. The film is entirely first person POV, and was marketed like a video game, and it delivers on that aspect. The problem with this would normally be that the fun part of video games isn't watching someone else play them. However, I was very surprised when I watched the film. In all films there is a part when you're bored or you wish people would hurry up and get on with it, not this one. The entire film is gripping from happily disorienting start to gloriously ludicrous end. The plot is fairly thin and most of the acting skills are non-existent, but if what you're looking for is a nonsensical hour and a half gore fest with camera work that makes Cloverfield look smooth, featuring a brief appearance from Tim Roth, I can't recommend this more
The Package (2018)
Realistic
Contains the most realistic looking severed dick prosthetic I've ever seen
The Amazing Spider-Man (2012)
Doesn't get enough credit
When this film came out on cinemas in 2012 I missed it, dismissing it as yet another entry into a waning franchise used as a mile to make more money. When I decided to give it a go in 2013 boy did I eat my words. Despite some unecassary mystery elements the film is bloddy brilliant. Andrew Garfield is low-key my favourite Spiderman, and although his second film isn't worth the paper the script was printed on, his first outing was amazing. Good CGI and effects all round, plus an interesting story and a good villain, even if his motives arent very inspired. Especially for younger viewers who can overlook any plot holes, this film is a great watch for anyone. Watch it
