Lover (2018)
Decent
All though I am a big fan of Ralph, I want to come in and be as unbiased as possible and I gotta say, I'm a little bit disappointed. It's an interesting story with decent (for the most part) acting and pretty good writing. Some of the actors weren't that good, including Ralph. Although I like Ralph's video, I can't say he's the best actor. He's not bad at all, but he just wasn't the right person for this role. It seems like he would be better behind the camera instead of in front of it. Also I wasn't really enjoying the first 20 to 25 minutes of the movie. I found it rather boring. Although being somewhat disappointing, it's still a decent watch.
Hell Fest (2018)
Good concept, poor execution.
While the idea of the movie is cool, it just becomes a by the numbers horror movie. Characters make bad decisions, lazy jump scares, subpar acting, and worst of all, it's not scary. The sets are nice though.
Mandy (2018)
A somewhat slow first 2 acts with an amazing 3rd act.
This movie can be a bit long and kinda boring, but the visuals really help you with how slow it can be. While it was slow for the first hour and a half the last 30 minutes of this movie is extremely exciting and satisfying, with some incredible practical gore effects. Absolutely loved it.
The Predator (2018)
This movie is like the main characters kid, autistic.
The movie has some ok jokes, good acting and ok special effects... until the third act. That's when everything "good" about this movie, just starts sucking ass. The writing gets worse, the story becomes even dumber than it already was, and the CGI is just hideous. Also, I'm sick of movies making autism some sort of super power. Like if you have autism you become some super genius or some bad ass assassin. That's not what it's like to have autism. In the movie, they literally say "you know autism is the next step in human evolution". This movie is awful.
