The 29th Annual Critics' Choice Awards (2024)
What a disappointment!
My friend and I have seen most of the nominated movies and television programs for the show this evening. However, it was impossible for so many people to watch the show because of how they chose to stream it. It was not available on The CW over the air for those of us without cable. Or you had to pay for YouTube TV or pay for DirectTV. I have over 10 streaming apps; I am not going to pay for another one to watch one show. Next - I do not know who made the decision to air the start time differently across time zones?! People in Arizona were getting new alerts on their phones about winners that had not even been presented yet because we were an hour behind. Do better next year, CC.
Nefarious (2023)
Oscar-Worthy Performance By Flanery
Sean Patrick Flanery's acting was exceptional and worthy of an Oscar, in my opinion. His attention to detail, such as the motor tics, only added to the back and forth element of the storyline - psychosis verses demonic possession.
The story was brilliant; I am glad I caught it on the big screen before it leaves the theater. I also appreciated the length of the movie; so many movies go past two hours these days and it usually is not warranted to add to the film.
I would recommend this movie to anyone as it kept me engaged the entire time. Bravo to the cast and crew who made this movie happen.
The Netflix Afterparty (2020)
So much potential, but ...
David and Fortune are great and I enjoy the guest interviews, but London makes me cringe. I do not care for the hyperactivity and screeching ... she just does not gel with David and Fortune's more chill vibes.
