Zack Snyder's Justice League (2021)
Huge Improvement, Still Plagued with problems
Made far more sense and love the Snyder visuals even with the Slo Mo overkill!
Can't entirely escape the trappings of the first edit, weird dialogue in places, characters not fully delivered on and another CGI alien invader with a disposable army and a convoluted collect them all scheme to destroy the world.
Worth the time but someone needs to bring some new ideas to the DCU.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (2021)
Good show, sadly predictable reception on here.
Solid show, great chemistry between the leads, 4 great episodes that build nicely but it does have a slightly flat finish.
I don't think the antagonists motives are made clear enough which is a shame as they ask interesting questions around the politics post "The Blip".
As for the raft of reviews stating too political or "woke":
Take a look at yourself as to why you found this offensive, that's why stories like this should be told.
Try considering the positive impact to black American kids to see a black Captain America.
Star Trek: Discovery (2017)
Interesting Critique
The reviews found on here illustrate that the show delivers on pushing boundaries like star trek always has. There were criticisms of Uhura/Chekov/Zulu back when TOS debuted, Janeway as the first female captain and Sisko in DS9. If your problem with the show is that you feel an inclusive agenda is being pushed than perhaps a review of yourself is more relevant.
If your problem is the overacting then you probably wouldn't like TOS, The original films or elements of any other series even Patrick Stewart goes full Shakespeare here and there!
That all being said the show does have some big issues, the writing seems all over the shop. Series 1 is tightly focused and well written but after that we veer into macguffin filled time paradox get outs with a lot of plot strands left unfulfilled or poorly satisfied.
It's an average show that's easy to switch off your brain and enjoy but if you're easily offended by a changing world perhaps a show set hundreds of years in the future isn't for you.
