Faltu Utpatang Chutpati Kahani (2007)
Something "Hatke" and not "Faltu"
Faltu Utpatang Chatpati Kahani has a host of different characters. Most of them are interesting and everyone must have experienced them in our day today lives. It has comedy(black), melodrama(funny), adventure, romance(sugar coated) and song(s). It is quite well shot, considering its extreme low budget (a TV episode costs way more). The actors have done a good job and have potential to go long. But the real hero is the guy named Kalpesh Ci Patel. Except acting he plays every possible behind-the-camera role in the movie(from spot boy to producer-director)and comes out victorious.
Watch it if you are ready for a typical hatke masala film.
P.S Check out the abbrev. of the movie
Andaz Apna Apna (1994)
Main To Kehta Hu Ki Aap Purush hi nahi hai.................
The summary is only for those who hate this movie, as finding the movie OK or average is acceptable. Visiting this movie on IMDb has made me nostalgic as I can't help myself going back in the year 1994. I was one of the few lucky ones who saw this movie in theaters. It instantly became one of my favourite comedies and took some years to make it my favourite. How can I say what made this movie my favourite? Was it the excellent writing ( story was OK but screenplay and dialogues were fabulous) Was it the superlative performances? Was it the mood of the film?
After thinking about it for so many years I say it has to be a mixture. It is one of those movies which didn't have any flaws not even its music.(the other movie coming up in my mind right now is Sholay)
PS: Rajkumar Santoshi please keep a balance between your drama and comedy movies. Only 1 comedy is not enough. I want moreeeeeeee..........
The Mummy (1999)
I Love Mummies
Mummy was the first adventure horror movie I had ever seen. When The Mummy released in 1999, I was completely unaware of Indiana Jones movies. I thought it was first of its kind. The action, comedy, fun just blew me away.I particularly thought that Brendan Fraser was awesome. When I see this movie now (after seeing Indiana Jones movies) I still experience the same fun as I did back then. Not that I don't like Indiana (7 out of 10) but I find Mummy much more enjoyable. The goodness in the script is you always get a feeling that movie is offering you what it promised;non stop entertainment. Among the cast Brendan Fraser is awesomely funny. Rachel Weisz is cute ( missed her in Mummy 3) John Hannah made me smile whenever he showed up and Arnold Vosloo (The Mummy) was cool. I wish they make more Mummy movies with Stephen Sommers on the Director's seat. If you are a big Indie fan then give Mummy a chance.
Sholay (1975)
SHOLAY..........the name says it all(BEST Hindi MOVIE EVER)
I am shocked seeing that the IMDb ratings for this classic is just 6.6. Why? Because the movie is strongly influenced from the Westerns? or It it isn't entertaining enough?
The 2nd cant be true because the movie had everything: strong script strong direction excellent characters and performances good action, comedy, romance, friendship, etc
If the 1st is true then i feel sorry for the viewers because being influenced is not being copied.Besides there would remain only like 50-60 original scripts if counted correctly.
I cannot find a single flaw in the movie which is my personal thinking and as it would be of true Hindi cinema fans.
So people please judge the movie on its merits and not on something which is totally baseless.
