Another world
19 December 2023
In the world of restaurants, chefs, food, orders, money, customers, trauma and egoes anything goes. Throw in a few narcissists, drunks and addicts and staff with broken families...well it's is NOT a comedy. More like the real thing!

Anyone who's worked or is still working in this world, you know.

Chefs with way to many issues that think they're the gift to mankind, owners thet couldn't boil water to save their life's. And let's not talk about the customers....the diners, the holy guests.

Obnoxious, way to demanding and without the slitlest appreciation for the hours, low wages and tired feet off the staff.

(But we wouldn't have it any other way!)

From book to ....

Love the books McDermid has written! When I heard that this serie would be airing I hoped it would be as good as the books... I usually find it better to stick to the book in these cases. BUT the version I'm watching now is absolutely solid and a great adaption.

Cinematic, colors and the way it's shot, seamingles, back and forth thru ages.

The cast make the characters true and, for me, gives the extra + If you're in search of a great writer and a whole range of great criminal stories/books go read Val McDermid. And then , you can trust the director, enjoy the serie with Inspector Karen Pirie !

It all makes more sense now!
29 January 2023
Well I saw this too many years ago and felt ...yeah, it's cute and all. Good actors and funny.

Equal amount of years fast forward to today..NOW it's another story all together I feel the heartache and sadness, recognize the tumbling feeling of how love feels!

Movie still cute, funny and the actors still great (have become even better actually. Frances McDormand for one ) It's me "coming of age" that makes the difference!

So sit your youngsters down (old enough for the story here!) and have them watch. This is one of many many movies that have been added to a list of "must see" movies.

Every movie doesn't have to be loved by critics or win awards to be amazing!

Ending was.....well something
5 July 2022
Enjoyed the story, acting and performances. Thrilling, claustrophobic and scary BUT then comes the end. An end I could have done without. And I believe the movie could have done without it too.

Stop when you're peaking....don't overdo it ..someone should've been the brave one and said "cut"

Noir noir....

So dark and twisted. Gruesome. Human. Inhuman. I loved it!

Just let go and roll with this 'cause you'll have no clue nor idea on what's going on!

The sceneries, dialogue and characters are amazing. Even the hue the police station scenes were shot in was omnious.

This is a very intense story. Levels upon levels of family drama, past and present. Amazing acting from all but Mark Ruffalo is O U T S T A N D I N G!

Dark November afternoon enjoying an action with Reynolds/Johnson and Galot!

Not disappointed a bit. Got all I thought I'd get - funny and action filled.

In love every time

An amazing movie that will.move you! Meryl Streep with the way she move her hands and with one look can tell a story with her eyes.

Eastwood directing and acting. He is an actor that will too tell the story well when acting but his directing really sets the scene for Streep.

Not seen this yet? It's a must!

Great!

Love the way we're told a story that no one (but the Queen!) will ever know if real! Yet ...I feel like this IS a true story and a good one at that. Best ever actors all the way in all the episodes
