It completely jumped the shark in season 4- felt like a chore to get through that final season as a viewer. Beth running for political office and winning (seriously!?), Rio and his cousin fighting for her attention (are we in third grade?), Annie dating a literal hobo and eating out of dumpsters with him (actress looked like she was struggling to believe it herself), Stan suddenly having a totally different personality than the first 3 seasons, etc. The list goes on.
I know the show kind of required a ridiculous level of suspension of disbelief from the start but this is too much. Especially given the show had mostly lost its comedic charm in this last season, which was what helped to balance the really far-fetched crime plots.
