Change of Heart
This award-winning 13 minute short film represents 9 months of effort and is the culmination of Writer/Director/Executive Producer Tim Adams' education at the Art Institute of Portland.
The film follows Travis, a young professional, to his estranged father's cabin in the mountains. Over the course of the two days he is there, Travis comes to forgive the abuse he suffered at the hands of his father, Paul, when he was a boy.
Themes of reconciliation, pain, and forgiveness are central to this story, and the filmmakers wanted to convey a sense of hope that healing from the pain in our lives is possible and within reach.
The script is currently in re-write for a feature film and will explore more in-depth the background of the characters set forth in this film, as well as the depths of pain and despair the father goes through.
This film won a Bronze Telly award in Cinematography in 2007, and has impacted many lives in a positive way as it has been screened around the Pacific Northwest. It is the hope of the filmmakers that this story will touch you in a powerful and positive way, as well.
