964 Pinocchio (1991)

Visually meaningful? What planet is this?

Warning: Spoilers
"964 Pinocchio" is a film about a robot designed for sex that can no longer have sex (it must have been off warranty) who bumps into a psychotic homeless vagrant (if that isn't too redundant) and *SPOILER* takes vengeance on his creators.

Now, this movie was made by the same guy who made "Gozu" and "Visitor Q", so that should have been enough for me to stop watching. But my stubbornness did not permit me to do so.

The plot: Very nearly nonexistent. Special effects: The homeless woman vomits what appears to be day-old guacamole...and then eats it a second time. Screen-play: There are maybe 20 lines in the whole movie, and maybe 5 or 6 different sets. Acting: 964 writhing like a baby-bird in the homeless woman's lap. The photography: Looks to have been shot by Jim Carrey and Tom Green during a crystal-methamphetamine bender.

The bottom line: Do not, I repeat, do not see this film--if such a word could be applied to this pretentious garbage. Do not let the previous reviews give you the impression that this is an actual piece of art, or even a movie. Run from this movie. Go see "Begotten" or "El Topo" instead. It's for your own good.
