Despite the common thoughts of many viewers of Shotime's new show, The United States of Tara, I believe that it's a decent show, for what it is. It does have a few errors in the script work and acting, even as a high schooler I know that. But despite that, the acting entertains me and I find myself caught up in the everyday problems each character faces. Her children (Marshall and Kate) act a lot like regular teens, which is something that I think most shows today lack. Most shows have polar extremes with kids, either they're all bad or all good. In the past few episodes, Kate has shown a sweet side, as well as Marshall showing a harder side. The adults in the show vary from quite mature (Max) to very immature (Charlise). These factors plus many others, I think, make the show more believable. I think the show gets a worse rap than it deserves and I know I have yet to miss an episode.
