I finally saw this film on Nickelodeon the other day and was skeptical at first, but after viewing it twice I just said "Whatever." Put simply, this movie feels like an hour and thirty minute long episode of the show (which is also funny). Undeniably, it is incredibly funny, more so than some children films I felt lacked in that aspect (ex. "The Incredibles"). Some of the comedy is more mature, like a wasted SpongeBob), but nothing too vulgar for a film for the kiddies thankfully. There are a few new characters, like King Neptune and his daughter Mindy, who fans will enjoy as I did. Even David Hasslehoff stars oddly in a 'dramatic' race back to Bikini Bottom scene. Unfortunately, the film is never emotionally interesting and never makes an attempt to make you tear up or warm your heart, but all in all a funny flick.
