PLAGIARISM at it's best.

It is a remake of movie "I AM SAM"

Here's the latest on young music composer G V Prakash. His Pa pa pa… number in Vikram's recent release Deiva Thiirumagal is said to be a direct lift from Roger Miller's 1973 track called Whistle Stop that was composed for the Disney Version of Robin Hood. And, what's very interesting is that the lyrics in the English original are the same as well! This revelation has been made in a website that chronicles plagiarism in film music. "The film itself is inspired generously by the Sean Penn starrer-I am Sam. As for the song, Pa pa pa… is a replica of Roger Miller's 1973 track," the website stated, "It is disconcerting to see young G V Prakash lift tunes so unabashedly," it said. When CT contacted G V Prakash, he said, "It was on director Vijay's insistence that we modelled the song in the film on Whistle Stop. He wanted it like a nursery rhyme and Whistle Stop was struck in his mind. That's why we used it. But I've composed much better songs in the album that has been widely appreciated." However, the music composer admits that credit should have been given to the original. "I think we should have given credit to Whistle Stop. That was a mistake." Interestingly, it was earlier stated that another track from the same film – Jagada Thom... – borrowed its hook from Amaan Ali Khan and Ayaan Ali Khan's 2007 song Truth. While the music composer had admitted that it did sound a bit similar, he had defended saying, "Even if there's any similarity, it's sheer coincidence because I've not heard Truth before."

Indian cinema is all about copying Hollywood. Indian people will disagree. But, I don't care speaking the truth.
