Feel Good Comedy

Warning: Spoilers
A light-hearted movie that revolves around the not-so-disciplined Vikram Kumar alias Lucky (Yash) who is in love with a television anchor, Gowri (Ramya). Gowri gives Lucky the cold shoulder, and helping her keep Lucky at an arm's length is her dog Zoo Zoo. Gowri is compelled to resign from her job and takes over as creative head of an advertising company. Lucky comes for a job interview and figuring that Gowri would probably not let him get a job in her work place, he takes on a different identity, Vicky, complete with new wardrobe and changed hairstyle. As Vicky builds a rapport with Gowri, he comes to know that she's pining for Lucky.

This is a feel good romantic comedy that shouldn't be overanalyzed. The lead actor, Yash is good in the two different personalities that he gets to portray. His blue lens were quite distracting since it was so painfully fake. The movie gets points for making the dog an integral part of the story no matter how contrived it is. Ramya does what's asked of her and even does her own dubbing which suits her character perfectly. Her arc is interestingly convoluted. You shouldn't think I'm knocking off the movie. 'Lucky' gets plenty of genuine situational laughs mainly due to Lucky and the array of great comedic actors who perform in cameo roles throughout, but it ultimately has no substance, especially in the first half.
