Capturing Mary (2007 TV Movie)
8/10
One of Maggie Smith's best!

Warning: Spoilers
I feel as if the ghost that Mary rid herself of of was herself. That is why she continually referred to what I call her spectre as a ghost, but not quite. She had preconceived notions about herself and the world at the time her younger self is introduced in this film. She left that ghost with Joe, the caretaker of the house. She was compelled to follow Greville into the cellar, just as Joe was compelled to let her into the house as he had never done w/someone who came calling ever before. And Joe is left pondering Mary and why he was so affected by her. A magnificent film that is one more fantastic addition to Maggie Smith's sublime filmography. I truly DO NOT understand the negative commentary by other reviewers--you just have to let the film flow, and it will come to you.
