I have fallen in love with Hindi film. Anand is a film with so much substance, thought provoking. In terms of Humanism, right up there with the likes of 'It's a Wonderful Life'

Such a powerful film. Anand the man with the terminal illness looks forward to each day more than those around him. They dread the day he will die as it nears, yet he remains steadfast. He changes the lives of those around him. Great Story.

Perhaps the most moving scene is when Anand dies, he cannot bear the pain of his death, not for himself, but for his best friend Bamushai. A shocking selflessness at a moment where he is at his most true(his death bed) In the end there is a real sense of transcendence, you real feel a triumph over the concept of death. The best example is the voice recording. Anand has died, but the recording plays on, so in memory Anand will live on, eternally.

It should really be a tragic story, but this is an uplifting story about a damned man. Well worth watching more than once.
