The movie was good, funny, and possibly awesome for kids... but for those of us following it since the late 60's, this new Obelix voice is simply the most horrible thing that could have happened.
Obelix sounds like a young skinny guy. His voice should be much deeper, much calmer... now it sounds like they just took Asterix's backup voice-over.
It's not constant either. Sometimes his voice is deeper, sometimes it's almost high-pitched. It's very annoying. I watched it twice and every time it's difficult to associate the voice with the character.
Hopefully they'll bring back a decent voice for the next installments.
