Review of Entourage

Entourage (2015)
Unsympathetic, superficial characters in an unworldly world
22 August 2015
This film tells the story of a Hollywood studio executive who has to fight against the odds to keep the production of his big budget movie alive, despite of all the problem he faces.

"Entourage" may be studded with stars, but it does not mean it is any good. The lead characters are portrayed to be superifical, hedonistic and are simply not pleasant to be around with. The film shows them having parties, talking rubbish and they never actually seem to be doing any work, which is hardly inspiring to the people hoping to have a career in the film industry. I suspect it does not do the hard working filmmakers justice either.

I just did not care about the plot at all. The plot is delivered in a piecemeal manner, because the cameos have to go somewhere but they all add nothing to the plot. Whether Ari Gold gets the film financed, or whether the film actually ges finished is of no consequence because the film does not make me care about any of the characters. The only scene I really liked was the Liam Neeson cameo. I think there is really no point for this film, apart from pointlessly trying to squeeze as many stars in one film as possible.
