Truly ghastly.
I really, REALLY, wanted to like this show. And I tried.
But the sight gags and language tricks were pale imitations of Police Squad! gags, with throw-up and other grossities (talking with your mouth full HAHAHAHAHA! Broken compound fracture at the knee HEEHEEHEEHEE!! Throwing up at the crime scene HOHOHOHOHOHO!!!) tossed in to make sure they were just NOT FUNNY.
I am sure there are 8-year olds out there that will find this hilarious.
The only possible truly new funny part is the police dog and they didn't even go there in the first 3 episodes.
If I want to throw up while watching a show I will watch reruns of "Fear Factor." If I want silly comedy, I still have almost all Mel Brooks' movies as well as the Naked Gun movies and reruns of Police Squad! -- all 3 of which are funnier in their driest moments than tribeca is at its funniest.
