True yet common

My review will be biased so if you like this movie a lot....don't read this one. This movie was above average in the sense it had a level of creativity and originality that is uncommon in any vernacular language film. They didn't care whether you will understand the dialect of Marathi or not and even though I am a Mumbaikar, it was a challenge that I enjoyed. Reasons why I was left unhappy/incomplete with regards to this movie is that it is a run of the mill love story as opposed to what is being said by others. It felt more like a Crime Patrol episode turned into a feature where in the end the good guy(s) end up dead. The first half of the movie was pretty sloppy and scattered but it picked up after the interval. The acting was below average yet original. Lets be honest; everyone that has reviewed this movie with above 7 stars only did so because of the predictable and not so surprising ending. I mean the naivety of the female protagonist killed them. And what else did you expect? That after the happy couple had made everyone miserable, they would be forgiven? Why do you think the very 4 men who tried to separate/hurt them are back again without either of the parents? Come on... Good work by the director, simple and sweet; but the script-writers could have done better. And truthfully why this movie didn't surprise me also is due to the fact that this we all have seen such movies before in Bollywood. If you love romantic dramas then please go for it but if you are a hardcore, in for plots and story lines, then don't. I'm not saying that the story is bad; I'm saying that being a movie it could have been much much much better. But hey that's just my opinion! ;)
