A Very Fun Self-Parody,
11 April 2017
Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back is a good movie with a well written plot and a top notch comedic cast. It's a complete joke from start to finish, parodying the film industry and even having Kevin Smith make fun of himself on several occasions. Jason Mewes and Kevin Smith are stellar in the lead roles, with many other supporting roles and cameos throughout that shine. The likes of Will Ferrell, Ben Affleck, Jason Lee, Carrie Fisher and Chris Rock make this movie all the while better by having starred in it.

The movie does tend to drag on a bit, lingering on certain plot points and not moving forward as much as it could have. It should have been a lot more zanier and fast paced, more exciting.

I also thought it could have stayed in line with its plot a little more. It had a really interesting set up here, and yet still managed to go completely off the radar on several occasions. I get that this is the appeal for these type of movies, but there were occasions were I wanted the plot to just move forward.

It's a very fun ride from start to finish. Stellar cameos throughout and simply hilarious, if you are a fan of the Jay & Silent Bob characters then it is definitely worth the watch, although it would not make much sense to someone outside of that universe.

When Jay & Silent Bob find out they are not getting any profit from a big screen adaptation of them, they set out to wreck the movie.

Best Performance: Will Ferrell
