This movie is based on the popular 1980's TV series and I guess it all depends on if you liked the TV show on whether or not you will like this movie. I was not a big fan-I admit, I did watch it for the Uh....scenery, occasionally. It was just not all that believable. But, this movie is pretty much like the original show, with it's outlandish plots and gorgeous girls-and guys, if you are into that kind of thing- running in slow motion on the beach and solving crimes, when they are not saving people from drowning. The movie even makes fun of the slow motion running bit-as well as the unbelievable plot lines-on more than one occasion. Dwayne/Mitch is the head life guard that loves protecting his beaches. Zac is a new recruit that was a famous gold medal winning athlete but fell from grace and now has to work as a life guard due to a court order. Alexandra & Kelly/CJ are other members of the Baywatch team. Priyanka is the villain that is involved in drugs and murder-and yes, even the villain is good looking here. If you are looking for something serious, you might as well forget it. If you just want something to take your mind off of the boring day to day monotony, then this is a perfect summer movie. This is a raunchy action/comedy. There are a couple of cameos from David Hasselhoff & Pamela Anderson-I am not giving anything away here, their names are in the opening credits. There are some bloopers and a funny scene during the end credits but nothing at the very end. It's rated "R" for language and sexual content-including nudity-and has a running time of 1 hour & 54 minutes. I enjoyed it and would probably buy it on DVD.
