I do not know if the souls of the dogs reincarnate in other dogs. Probably they do, Lasse Hallström should know better. Because after directing almost all the musical clips for ABBA, and a few other films, the Swedish film director Lasse Hallström, specialized in films with dogs. First "Hachi: A Dog's Tale", a very exciting true story, and now, "A Dog's Purpose", a different kind of story. The film is somewhat puerile, it does not compare to "Hachi: A Dog's Tale", which is very good. Actually, that too is a remake after a Japanese film which is even better than the American version with Richard Gere, try to find and watch: "Hachi-ko" (1987) "Hachikô monogatari" (original title)! However, it worth seeing! It's original and the message that crosses the film is heartbreaking, it melts your heart.
