The movie covers the subject of parenting. The film revolves around a middle class family. A previously teacher, retired old man Dinen Lahiri played by Soumitra Chatterjee along with his wife Gauri Lahiri played by Lily Chakravarty raises their grandson, Posto in Santiniketan with all the essence of Bengali culture and tradition. Son of Dinen Lahiri, Arnab Lahiri, played by Jishu Sengupta and his wife settles in kolkata and struggles with their career. They could not manage time and finances to raise their child. So Dinen Lahiri and his wife step up for the task. But soon Arnab and his wife started missing their son and they wanted their child to be back to them. But Dinen Lahiri felt that his son was incompetent to handle a child. Both father and son had their share of ego which got dragged to court. And finally everything gets settled after much dramatic twists and turns.

Both Soumitra Chatterjee and Jishu Sengupta gave excellent power packed performances. Jishu Sengupta is playing these roles of boy next door very well from sometime. Veteran actress Lily Chakravarty played a role of a mother stuck between the ego of his husband and son. She did full justice to her character. Special mention of Paran Banerjee and Sohini Sengupta who played lawyers and their verbal duel in court room was excellent.

All in all this film may be the best commercial Bengali movie of this year till date.
