Tender story about a lost soul
13 October 2018
An American drama; A story about a Navy seaman born in a U.S. correctional facility who is then fostered by a family. With the assistance of a naval psychiatrist he begins to face up to his psychological trauma. This remarkable, fact-based film has great poignance and power - a devastating story of abuse that tugs at the heart strings. Denzel Washington's directing debut is a solidly crafted and emotionally touching work and he gives a sensitive yet powerful performance as the psychiatrist. Joy Bryant as Fisher excels in his role as the troubled man.
