Equal parts performance art, stand-up routine and history lesson, the whole performance is him trying to find a cultural hero for his son to look up to by navigating the darkest chapters of American history.
Leguizamo is absolutely brilliant as an every-man who thrusts himself into the unfamiliar role of a scholar, who strives to better his own knowledge of the past for the sake of his son's future, which makes HIM the hero in my book.
