Anabel (2015)
3/10
A WANNABE PSYCHOLOGICAL THRILLER MASQUERADING AS A HORROR.

3/10🌠🌠🌠 First off it's a spanish movie with english subtitles which I do not mind if the movie is good so I gave this a try because of the gorgeous ana de armas who has appeared in a few blockbuster american films like "Blade Runner", but this film that was kind of appealing at first it's shot in Black and white and has a cool relaxing feel to it on the top but the undertones were pretty creepy and I thought it would lead to something. Unfortunately that something never came the film is a total borefest with so many things that were not explained and led to nothing. Why they let these films get produced is beyond me. No one could of read this script with holes in it galore and come away thinking this movie would be good. To get into each and every detail of what was wrong about it really would divest my time into rehashing thought about a movie that just doesn't deserve another recap. Do not waste your time unless you wanna watch wasted cinema but that's ecaxlctly what we have here. The description explains what it"s about but the strange presence described doesn't hold water at all. Yes some things are done that are strange and unexplained and they try to laminate a demonic feel over the surface of this canvas but to no avail does it render the genre description of horror just because you cut the lights out and stare at each other Prick your finger and drip a drop of blood into something doesn't garner a fearful description.. They used the word lame in this movie a few times and that's a pretty accurate description if I do say so myself.
