Charlie (2004)

Presentable biopic

This is nowhere as good as at least two biopics on the Krays, but it is a stirring rendition none the less, with good insights into rackets and plenty of violence and cruelty. Lots of cockney slang. It's never boring, so it's a good watch. The story builds from tangents from going through the characters involved in the ultimate trail. It's a clever way of telling a story and the movie's main strength. There's plenty of good actors here. My main problem with it is that a portion of the most controversial action is based on testimonies that the end credits make clear probably never happened. Other than that it's a good London show, with good period reconstructions of the 1950s and 60s.
