A Simple Life (2011)
10/10
An sentimental elderly movie
7 April 2019
As population is ageing quickly in the world, elderly film need to be produced to reflect the reality. This movie is like a virtual show of an elderly maid to a family. She is still single, like all other live in maids in the past.

The scene in elderly homes depicts the harsh truth of poor elderly care in Hong Kong. The lack of space makes it difficult to provide more land for elderly home.

The acting of both leads is superb. A brave act of Andy Lau to produce such a film with a not so popular genre. But the result is non stop award winning. If I had remembered correctly the female lead is 7 times Best Actress in various movie award ceremonies around the world.

Thank you Andy Lau to create such a moving movie for HK.

And I just cannot figure out why the overall score is not ten.
