Leader (2010)
8/10
Engrossing Political Drama

A complete shift from his earlier films, Sekhar Kammula has yet again struck the right lines while directing this film.

I had lot of doubt before the movie got released, as to whether Sekhar really had the story and the guts to pull off such a film, but he did with an incredible style. The story though seems inspired from real life incidents is very well written and the dialogues are brilliant. The film slackens a bit in the second half, but the ending is a high adrenaline jump as the old man's scene moves you completely. The background music is inspiring and brings you goose-bumps every time the Leader's title track instrumental comes along.

Rana should be appreciated a lot for staying away from the commercial launch for his first film and even his subtle expressions and underplay deserves a sound applause. Finally a must watch.
