It still holds up quite well as mindless entertainment.

In addition to having an exhibition excess, "Remo Williams-The Adventure Begins" eventually suffers from taking itself too seriously when it is actually a B film. That's not to say it's not interesting and charming in a manner; it's just supposed to adopt its silliness with open arms, which Guy Hamilton seems reluctant to do.There is plenty of value for adventure and entertainment and some pretty stellar set pieces, and Fred Ward and Joel Grey are significant in their positions, but "Remo Williams-The Adventure Begins" might have used a lower budget and a director less likely to make sense of it all. It still holds up quite well as mindless entertainment.
