What has me frustrated with this movie is first of all there was a graphic rape scene I was not prepared for! And there was no warning on the movie label. Also the WHY of the kidnappings & sexual assaults / murders, How the mother became so sick to protect her son's and allow them to do these things! And the reason for her picking the novelist to be the next victim, NONE of this was answered, that left a big hole in the story that was not filled! And an unsatisfying ending. I gave it five stars for the actress "the main character" Maria Bello acted her ass off! The emotions was top-notch. Also Olivia Dukakis is an absolute Gem and she added a nice flavor to the story. I thought I was the only one who had conversations with characters I've created, that to me added a nice touch as well. If they had put in that big piece of the puzzle as to WHY all this was set in motion, I would have given the movie a 10.
