Sandy in the world there are far too many people living like this. The truth will be far easer for those in your life to deal with than the lies. We don't always want to hear the truth but it can be in time accepted. Many years ago I woke up in the middle of the night to realize that my wife was not home from work, I tried her work and cellphone but got no answer, after about a half hour I called the police. A few hours later they called, they had found her and she was okay and on her way home, I was so relieved in that moment then I asked where she was, the officer replied "I'll let her explain that when she gets home", it took a moment but suddenly I felt panic and a deep sense of all I'd just lost. In that moment I knew that this was going to be more than I was prepared to hear. Even when she got home she lied, it took a couple months for the truth to be told. I don't know that there can be anything worse than the person you trust most lie to you and deceive you, finding out that there friends knew and no one said anything. Lies don't protect the ones that they are told to, they hurt them.
