I pre-ordered this game over a year ago and I have to say it was definitely worth the wait! A lot of people don't like the twist at the end, it's another mind game like Man of Medan, but I really liked it. If you're not a fan of the end, play it a second time and you'll see how there are clues smattered throughout the game that really show Anthony's grief over his family's death and his survivors guilt. The end leaves you wondering... those who survived the night alongside Anthony... does this represent how he forgave himself over their death, or do they still haunt him? And the whole bit with the past? He knows the history of the town and he tries to change the past by using this as a coping mechanism... but you can't change the past.
Honestly, it's brilliant. Play it again if you must. But the writing is astounding.
