I understand how difficult it is to transform a best-selling novel of this level of popularity into a film. But even while keeping this in mind, I have to say that I felt an emotional disconnect with the film. A film adaptation of this novel was expected to have many more touching sequences. A couple of scenes were well-made but the film does not capture the emotions of the novel, not even close to it.
