The crux of the story is to show how political leadership overrides police. But the way story came out, it went far out of reality to end up in artificially created misery. On many accounts story seems illogical and too many coincidence. However the way movie is shot and the characters performed was exemplary. The movie maximizes is mileage from general public anger at govt insufficiency and influence of politics over police. But I felt it did went bit far on how police gets framed so easily, just in a couple of hours time of an accident.
The major blows to story are: 1. Just as accident occurs, the driver flees away, police neither track him or find him. No investigation if accident occurred.
2. Death happens in hospital, and its very easy to find if it was accident or not. And the coincidence that the friends of the deceased are just waiting at the right hospital. Usual accident cases, being police they would first inform control room and hospital. Since the movies focus was to get the police blamed somehow, everything was conveniently skipped. The accident site was intact and there was no case for murder here in the very first place.
3. Within an hour of accident, it became political issue!. This was superfast. All the poltiical leaders and police without even going to accident site or hospital post martum judges it as a murder. And the experienced police guy decides to run away in mins. In reality this will never happen, especially for police guy involved in such thing.
4. Run of survival. Experienced police throws aways sims card and keeps the phone. Phones can be tracked by IMEI number, even if sim card is not there! The whole runway story is not realistic. Too much coincidence that wherever they get down, there is no people.
The list goes on. There is too much coincidence and unrealistic police story. In real world, what would have happened was, first accident would have been investigated and closed the story. Though politicians interfere with police, they never put them to threshold since they need them again. Worst thing that can happen to police would be suspension and passed for investigation. The movie intentionally steer it up as difficult position for police and govt, just because of some guys called it as murder, which is far from reality. In real world, ruling political party would have discussion with the vote bank guy and comes up with reasonable agreement which doesnt hurt police either. Very rarely, on very complicated issues, some poor police gets into jail or suicide, that too after long years.
